Sheryl Crow pisaće muziku za brodvejsku adaptaciju čuvenog filma iz 1982. godine - "Dinner", piše New York Times. Na ovu ideju došao je reditelj filma, Barry Levinson, kome je ovo ostvarenje bilo odskočna daska u karijeri.

"Ja sam veliki fan filma i bila sam presrećna kada mi je Barry predložio da pišem muziku za pozorišnu verziju. Tačno znam ko su bili ti ljudi i počela sam da pišem sa velikim uzbuđenjem", rekla je Sheryl.

Premijera mjuzikla planirana je za sledeće leto, a režiraće ga dobitnica Tony nagrade, Kathleen Marshall.

Sheryl Crow is set to pen music for Broadway's adaptation of famous 1982 movie "Dinner", New York Times reports. This was an idea of a movie's director, Barry Levinson, for whom this movie was a crucial point in his career.

"I was already a huge fan of 'Diner' when Barry first approached me about writing a score for a theatrical retelling of his film. I knew exactly who these men and women were and I feverishly began writing", Sheryl said.

The primere is planned for the next summer. The musical will be directed by Tony Award winner, Kathleen Marshall.

Sting sprema mjuzikl / Sting prepares musical

Čuveni britanski muzičar Sting piše pesme za mjuzikl "The Last Ship" koji se trenutno priprema na Brodveju. Ovaj mjuzikl inspirisan je njegovim životom, pogotovo albumom iz 1991. godine "The Soul Cages". 

Radnja je smeštena u osamdesete godine prošlog veka u Njukaslu, a glavni junak se zove Gideon, što je slično Stingovom pravom imenu - Gordon.

Libreto će napisati Brian Yorkey koji je za svoje prethodne predstave nagrađen priznanjem "Tony".

A legendary Britsh musician Sting is writing songs for "The Last Ship" musical that is being prepared on Broadway at the moment.

This musical is inspired by his life, especially by his 1991 album "The Soul Cages".

The story is set in 1980s in Newcastle and name of a main character is Gidion, which is similar to Sting's real name - Gordon.

A libretto will be written by Brian Yorkey who has already been awarded with "Tony" for his previous work.

Mjuzikl o Susan Boyle stiže 2012! / Susan Boyle musical arrives in 2012!

Život pevačke senzacije Susan Boyle biće predstavljen u mjuziklu "I Dreamed a Dream" koji će premijerno biti prikazan 2012. godine. Susan će igrati škotska glumica Elaine C. Smith. Susan o projektu kaže:

"Zaista sam srećna. Nikada nisam pomišljala da će moj život biti pretvoren u mjuzikl, ali mnogo toga se desilo u prethodne dve godine, tako da će ovo biti veoma zanimljivo. Nadam se da će se predstava svima dopasti, a ja mogu da obećam i nekoliko iznenađenja!"

Producent Michael Harrison kaže da će mjuzikl imati sve karakteristike životne bajke.

"Ona je veoma inspirativna žena i njena priča je divna za pričanje. Ona je svojim talentom oduševila svet i stvorila sebi novi život."

"I Dreamed a Dream" biće premijerno izveden u Royal teatru u Njukaslu 23. marta 2012. godine, a potom će uslediti turneja.

A story about a life of singing sensation Susan Boyle will be presented in "I Dreamed a Dream" musical that will be premiered in 2012. Susan will be portrayed by Scotish actress Elaine C. Smith. Susan speaks about this project:

"I am happy that the musical is being produced, I never thought my life story would end up on the stage but a lot has happened in two years and it is a very exciting prospect. I hope everyone enjoys the show and I promise there will be a few surprises along the way."

A producer Michael Harrison claimed the brand new musical will have all the qualities of a real-life "fairytale".

"She is an inspiring woman and her story is an excellent one to tell - someone with a raw talent who surprises the world and overturns all the odds to make a new life for herself".

"I Dreamed A Dream" will open at Newcastle's Theatre Royal on March 23 2012 before going on tour.

Mel B želi da se Spice Girl ponovo okupe / Mel B wants Spice Girls reunion

Mel B je u intervjuu za Contactmusic rekla da bi volela da se Spice Girls ponovo okupe, ali da o tome još nije razgovarala sa ostalim članicama, te ne može da govori u njihovo ime. 

Ona je dodala da trenutno razgovaraju o Viva Forever mjuziklu koji bi trebalo da se pojavi sledeće godine, ali ne sme da otkrije više detalja.

Spice Girls su svetsku slavu stekle devedesetih godina. Sa 75 miliona prodatih nosača zvuka, one su najuspešniji girl bend svih vremena. Grupu je činilo pet članica - Victoria Beckham (tada Adams), Melanie Brown (Mel B), Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm (Mel C) i Gerri Hallivell. Gerri je 1998. godine napustila grupu, ali bend je kao čevoročlani sastav postojao do 2001. godine. 

One su se ujedinile za turneju 2007. godine koja je završena 2009.

Postojale su glasine da će Spice Girls nastupiti na otvaranju Olimpijskih Igara 2012. u Londonu, ali su Victoria Beckham i  Melanie Chisholm to demantovale.

Mel B speaking to Contactmusic revealed that she would like the Spice Girls to be reunited, but she hasn't discussed the idea yet with other members, so she can't speak on everyone's behalf.

She mentioned that there's talking about Viva Forever musical which coming out next year, but she couldn't reveal more.

Spice Girls rose to fame in the middle 90's. With over 75 million records sold there're the most successful girl band of all time. The group had five members - Victoria Beckham (then Adams), Melanie Brown (Mel B), Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm (Mel C) and Gerri Hallivell. After Gerri's departure in 1998, the group continued as a 4-piece until their split in 2001. 

The band reuinited in 2007 for the world tour which ended in 2009.

There were rummors that Spice Girls would perform at the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games in London, but Victoria Beckham and  Melanie Chisholm denied.
