Elton John je potvrdio da radi na mjuziklu baziranom na njegovom životu i izjavio je da na filmu želi da ga igra Justin Timberlake.
"Napravio sam listu želja ko bi mogao da me igra i broj 1 na toj listi je Justin Timberlake. Već me je glumio u videu Davida LaChapella "Rocket Man" i bio je odličan", (pogledati video ispod), izjavio je pevač za Los Angeles Times i dodao da na filmu radi sa svojim partnerom Davidom Furnishom. Elton John je mjuzikal opisao na sledeći način:
"Biće to jukebox mjuzikal sa možda nekoliko novih pesama. To se nikad ne zna. Biće to nadrealističan pogled na moj život, a ne samo činjenična priča. Nešto kao "Moulin Rouge". Ne želim da bude normalan biografski film, jer moj život nije bio takav. Film prati moj život tokom mog odlaska na odvikavanje 1990. godine. Počinje mojim dolaskom na kliniku i završava se mojim izlaskom".

Elton John confirmed that a jukebox musical based on his life is in the works, and that he’d like Justin Timberlake to portray him in the film.
“I’ve got a wish list of people. No. 1 on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of "Rocket Man" and was superb,” (check out a video below), the singer told the Los Angeles Times.He added that he and his partner David Furnish will be producing the film. Here's how Elton John described the musical:
"That would be a jukebox musical in earnest, maybe with a couple of new songs. You never know. Because it’s going to be a surreal look at my life, and not just a factual look at my life, more in the manner of a Moulin Rouge! I just don’t want it to be a normal biopic because my life hasn’t been like that. And it only goes up to when I go into rehab in 1990. It starts with me going into rehab and ends when I come out”.So, what do you think, is Justin Timberlake the right choice for this part?
