Billboard Charts: Jay-Z i Kanye West na vrhu liste albuma, Katy Perry izjednačila rekord Michaela Jacksona na listi singlova / Jay-Z and Kanye West top Albums chart, Katy Perry matches Michael Jackson's record in Hot 100 chart

Zajednički album Jay-Zija i Kanye Westa "Watch the Throne" bio je najprodavaniji prošle nedelje u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama sa 436 000 prodatih primeraka. Ovo je druga najbolja nedeljna prodaja ove godine. Oni se nalaze iza Lady Gage čiji je album "Born This Way" prodat u 1.1 miliona primeraka u prvoj nedelji. "Watch the Throne" je 12. #1 album za Jay-Zija i 5. za Kanye Westa.

Američki country pevač, Luke Bryan, nalazi se na drugom mestu sa svojim trećim albumom "Tailgates & Tanlines" (145 000), što su najbolja pozicija i najbolja nedeljna prodaja u njegovoj karijeri.

Kompilacija "Now 39" debitovala je na trećem mestu (110 000), dok je prošlonedeljni #1 album "21" od Adele po prvi put od objavljivanja u februaru van top 3 (4. mesto, 73 000).

U top 10 je još jedan novitet - album repera Ace Hooda "Blood Sweet + Tears" stigao je do osmog mesta (26 000) što su njegov prvi top 10 album i najbolja prodaja u karijeri.

Nedavno emitovani koncert mlade Jackie Evancho i popust u Targetu na njen album "Dream With Me" pomogli su joj da se vrati u top 10 (9. mesto, 26 000).

Što se liste singlova tiče, Katy Perry je postala prva žena i tek drugi izvođač u istoriji koji ima 5 #1 hitova na Billboard Hot 100. Ovim je izjednačila rekord sa Michaelom Jacksonom koji je imao isti broj #1 pesama sa albuma "Bad" iz 1987. Njen poslednji hit "Last Friday Night (T. G. I. F.)" bio je najslušaniji na radio-stanicama u zemlji prošle nedelje. Zahvaljujući remiksu sa Missy Elliot, ova pesma je po prodaji skočila sa petog na četvrto mesto.

Foster the People i njihov single "Pumped Up Kicks" dospeli su do osmog mesta ove nedelje, što je njihov prvi top 10 hit.

A collaborative album by Jay-Z and Kanye West "Watch the Throne" was the best-selling release last week in the USA with 436k units sold. This is the second best opening week behind Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" which was sold in 1.1M copies in its first week. "Watch the Throne" is the 12th #1 for Jay-Z and the 5th for Kanye.

Country singer Luke Bryan bows at #2 with his third album "Tailgates & Tanlines" (145 000) - the best position and weekly sales in his career.

"Now 39" compilation debuts at #3 (110k), while the last week #1 album, Adele's "21", is the outside top 3 for the first time since its release in February (#4, 73k).

There's another top 10 new entry this week - Ace Hood's "Blood Sweet + Tears" at #8 (26k). This is the first top 10 album for this rapper and best weekly sales.

Jackie Evancho's recently broadcasted concert and a discount in Target for her album "Dream With Me" helped her to return to top 10 (#9, 26k).

As for the singles chart, Katy Perry becomes the first woman and the second artist overall to have 5 #1 hits in Billboard Hot 100 from one album. With this she matches Michael Jackson's record who also had the same amount of #1 songs from his album "Bad" in 1987. Her latest hit "Last Friday Night (T. G. I. F.)" keeps #1 on Radio Songs chart and thanks to a remix with Missy Elliot moves 5-4 in Digital Songs chart.

To 10 new entry this week comes from Foster the People and their single "Pumped Up Kicks" at #8 - their first top 10 hit.

Billboard Charts: Lady Gagin album "Born This Way" prodat u više od milion primeraka / Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" tops one million in sales

Novi album Lady Gage "Born This Way" prodat je u neverovatnih 1.1 miliona kopija što je bilo više nego dovoljno da se nađe na prvom mestu ovonedeljne Billboard Top 200 liste. Ovo je njen prvi #1 album u Americi i tek 17. (peti u kategoriji ženskih izvođača) album koji je prodat u više od milion primeraka od 1991. godine kada je Billboard počeo da objavljuje precizne podatke o prodaji. Zbog kontroverzne odluke sajta Amazon mp3 da album dva dana prodaje za samo 99 centi, Billboard je objavio da je prodato 662 hiljade digitalnih kopija od kojih 440 hiljada za pomenutu cenu.

Country zvezda Brad Paisley našao se na drugom mestu sa albumom "This Is Country Music" (153 000) i ovo je njegov treći #2 album u karijeri bez prvog mesta za sada.

Prošlonedeljni #1 album, "21" od Adele, pao je na treće mesto sa 126 hiljada prodatih primeraka, dok je novi soundtrack iz serije "Glee" debitovao na četvrtom mestu sa 80 hiljada prodatih primeraka.

Kompilacija "Maybach Music Group Presents Self Made Vol. 1" debitovala je na petom mestu sa 59 hiljada prodatih primeraka, dok se na sedmom mestu nalazi zajednička kompilacija grupa New Kids On the Block i Backstreet Boys "NKOTBSB" (40 000). Ovo je osmi uzastopni top 10 album za Backstreet Boys koliko su ih i imali u karijeri i peti top 10 za New Kids.

Debi album grupe Foster the People "Pumped Up Kicks" stigao je do osmog mesta ove nedelje sa 33 hiljade prodatih primeraka.

Što se liste singlova tiče, Adele je i dalje ubedljivo prva sa "Rolling In the Deep" četvrtu nedelju zaredom. Osim što je ova pesma bila najprodavanija prošle nedelje (254 000), takođe je bila i najslušanija pesma na radio-stanicama što je prvi #1 airplay hit za Adele u Americi.

Zahvaljujući uspehu albuma "Born This Way", Lady Gaga se vratila u top 10 Billboard Hot 100 liste sa "The Edge of Glory" koja se nalazi na osmom mestu ove nedelje.

Novi singl DJ Khaleda "I'm On One" napredovao je za neverovatnih 68 pozicija i našao se na desetom mestu ove nedelje, te je postao njegov prvi top 10 hit u Americi.

Lady Gaga's new album "Born This Way" was sold in astonishing 1.1 million copies last week in the USA which was more than enough to take #1 spot this week in Billboard Top 200 chart. This is her first #1 album in the USA and the 17th album (the fifth in a female artists category) that has been sold in more than million copies in one week since Soundscan era start in 1991. Because of a controversial desicion of Amazon mp3 store to sell album for only 0.99$ for two days, Billboard reports that "Born This Way" was sold in 662k digital copies (440k came from Amazon's discount).

Country star Brad Paisley debuts at #2 with "This Is Country Music" (153k). This is his third #2 album in his career with #1 yet to happen.

Last week #1 album, "21" by Adele, slips to #3 (126k), while a new "Glee" soundtrack reaches #4 with 80k copies sold.

"Maybach Music Group Presents Self Made Vol. 1" compilation starts at #5 (59k), while a mutual compilation of New Kids On the Block and Backstreet Boys "NKOTBSB" arrives at #7 (40k). This is the eight consecutive top 10 album for Backstreet Boys (its entire output of releases) and the fifth top 10 album for New Kids.

A debut album by new group Foster the People "Pumped Up Kicks" bows at #8 this week with 33k copies sold.

As for the singles chart, Adele still holds strong lead with "Rolling In the Deep" for the fourth consecutive week. Not only this was the best-selling single last week (254k), but also it got most radio impressions making it the first #1 airplay hit for Adele.

Thanks to the album success, Lady Gaga returns to top 10 of Billboard Hot 100 with "The Edge of Glory" at #8 this week.

DJ Khaled's new single "I'm On One" jumps incredible 68 spots to #10 this week, making it his first top 10 US hit.
