Billboard Charts: Adele se vraća na vrh liste albuma / Adele Tops Albums Chart Again

Adele se sa albumom "21" vraća na vrh liste albuma po 13. put. Ovaj album je prošle nedelje prodat u 106 000 primeraka i ovo je najviše nedelja na vrhu za neki album još od 1998. godine kada je soundtrack za film "Titanic"proveo 16 nedelja na prvom mestu.

Hrišćanski bend Castling Crowns debitovao je na drugom mestu sa albumom "Come to the Well" (99 000) i ovo je četvrti top 10 album za njih.

Prošlonedeljni #1 album, album "Evanescence" nazvan po grupi, pao je na četvrto mesto (40 000).

R&B pevač Joe dobio je peti top 10 album. Njegov novi set, "The Good, the Bad, the Sexy", stigao je do osmog mesta (33 000).

Adele's "21" jumps back to #1 on albums chart for the 13th time. This album was sold in 106 000 and it has the most weeks at #1 since the soundtrack to "Titanic" spent 16 weeks at the top back in 1998. 
Christian band Castling Crowns settles for the runner-up spot with "Come to the Well" (99 000) and this is the fourth top 10 album for them.
Last week's #1, Evanescence's self-titled album, falls to #4 (40 000).
R&B singer Joe scores his fifth top 10 with "The Good, the Bad, the Sexy" (#8, 33 000).
As for the singles chart, Adele spends the fifth week atop this chart with "Someone Like You". This song fallas to #4 on Digital Songs Chart, while it holds #2 on Radio Songs.
Drake's new single, "Make Me Proud", featuring Nicki Minaj, leaps to #9 after full week sales (166 000).

Evanescence score their second #1 album in the USA thanks to their self-titled album that was shifted in 127 000 copies last week.

Rock band Five Finger Death Punch gets its best chart position and weekly sales as their new set, "American Capitalist", arives at #3 (91 000).

The last week's #1 album, "Clear as Day" by Scotty McCreery, falls to #4 (88 000).

American Idol's runner-up, Lauren Alaina, debuts at #5 with her first album, "Wildflower" (69 000).

A country singer Ryan Adams bows at #7 with his newest album,  "Ashes & Fire" (49 000), which is his second top 10 album.

The last top 10 new entry comes from another country act, Martina McBride. Her new album, "Eleven", starts at #10 (40 000) and this is her sixth top 10 album.

As for the singles chart, Adele is on top with "Someone Like You" for the fourth time. This is still the best-selling song in the country (207 000), while it holds #2 on Radio Songs chart. 

A trio Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg and Bruno Mars debuts at #10 with "Young, Wild & Free" thanks to 159 000 sold downloads. This is the tenth top 10 single for Snoop, third for Khalifa and seventh for Mars.

Pobednik American Idola, 18-godišnji Scotty McCreery, debitovao je na prvom mestu ovonedeljne Billboard Top 200 liste sa 197 000 prodatih primeraka njegovog albuma "Clear as Day". Time je postao prvi country izvođač i najmlađi muški izvođač u istoriji čiji je prvi album debitovao na vrhu ove liste.

Prošlonedeljni #1 album, "Cole World: the Sideline Story" J. Cola, pao je na peto mesto (54 000).

U top 10 su još tri noviteta. Novi album kanadske pevačice Feist, "Metals", dospeo je do sedmog mesta (38 000), što je prvi top 10 album i najbolja nedeljna prodaja u njenoj karijeri.

Country muzičar, Rodney Atkins, stigao je do osmog mesta (35 000) sa svojim četvrtim albumom, "Take a Back Road", i ovo je njegov drugi top 10 album.

Drugi top 10 album dobio je i rok bend Jack's Mannequin. Njegovo novo izdanje, "People and Things", nalazi se na devetom mestu (31 000).

Nakon nekoliko EP-a i mikstejpova, mladi reper J. Cole objavio je debi album, "Cole World: the Sideline Story", koji je prošle nedelje prodat u 218 000 primeraka i ove nedelje zauzima prvo mesto na Billboard Top 200 listi.

Adele has premiered a long-awaited video for "Someone Like You", the second single from her multiplatinum album "21", on her official VEVO channel. The video, as the song itself, is very simple and we can see the singer wandering the streets of an empty Paris remembering her old love. The video was shot in black and white technique which captured an atmosphere of the song in a perfect way. A director of this clip is Jake Nava.

This is also the second-best weekly sales this year behind Lady Gaga's "Born This Way", but we need to take into account that Wayne's album wasn't sold for a dollar. "The Carter IV" also breaks a record in iTunes store, because it shifted 345k digital copies in one week.

This week runner-up is Red Hot Chili Peppers's new effort, "I'm With You" (229k). This is the 6th top 10 album for the legendary rock band.

Britanske top-liste: Prvi #1 za Nicole Scherzinger / UK Charts: The first #1 hit for Nicole Scherzinger

Bivša članica benda Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger, dobila je svoj prvi #1 hit na britanskoj listi singlova. Njen aktuelni single Don't Hold Your Breath, koji najavljuje njen prvi solo album, Killer's Love prodat je u 98 000 primeraka prošle nedelje, što je za 11 000 više od Adele i njenog hita Someone Like You koji je ove nedelje na drugom mestu. 

Iako je grupa Wanted sa pesmom Gold Forever prethodna dva dana bila na prvom mestu itunes liste, nisu uspeli da odu dalje od trećeg mesta (82490 prodatih primeraka).

Nakon sedam nedelja provedenih u top 100, po prvi put među 10 najprodavanijih singlova našla se pesma I Need a Doctor koju izvode Dr. Dre, Eminem i Skylar Grey - deveto mesto ove nedelje.

Na desetom mestu debitovao je single Loud grupe Parade sa 29721 prodatom kopijom.

Što se liste albuma tiče, nema velikih promena. Adele ponovo zauzima prvu i drugu poziciju. Njen aktuelni album 21 prošle nedelje prodat je u više od 160 000 primeraka, a najbliži konkurent bio mu je njen debi album 19. Ovakav rezultat imali su samo The Beatles. 

Među 10 najprodavanijih albuma prošle nedelje su dva noviteta. Debi album benda Vaccines "What Did You Expect From the Vaccines" našao se na četvrtom mestu, dok je novi album nekadašnjeg predstavnika Velike Britanije na takmičenju za Pesmu Evrovizije, Michaella Balla, "Heroes" debitovao na desetom mestu.

Sve popularniji bend Overtones ove nedelje skočio je sa 36. na peto mesto sa albumom Good Ol' Fashioned Love, što je najviša pozicija u njihovoj karijeri do sada. 

Album irskog pevača Daniela O'Donnella - Moon Over Ireland napredovao je sa 11. na deveto mesto

Ex Pussycat Dolls member, Nicole Scherzinger, scored her first #1 on the UK Singles Chart. Her new single Don't Hold Your Breath, which precedes her first solo album Killer's Love, was sold in more than 98k copies last week, which is 11k more than Adele's hit Someone Like You - #2 this week.

Although band Wanted has been #1 on itunes chart for the last two days with a song Gold Forever, they only reached #3 spot (82490 copies sold).

After seven week inside top 100, a new single by Dr. Dre, Eminem and Skylar Grey - I Need a Doctor is for the first time among top 10 best-selling singles in the UK (#9).

A single Loud by band Parade debuted at #10 with 29721 copies sold.

As for the Albums Chart, no bih changes there. Adele is #1 and #2 again. Her latest album 21 was sold in more than 160k copies last week and the closest competition was her debut album 19. This result only The Beatles could score in the chart history.

Among 10 best-selling albums last week are two new entries. Debut album by band Vaccines - What Did You Expect From the Vaccines took #4, while a new album by former UK representative at the Eurovision Song Contest, Michael Ball, Heroes debuted at #10.

A debut album by Overtones - Good Ol' Fashioned Love jumped from #36 to #5 which is there highest charting position so far.

An album by Daniel O'Donnel - Moon Over Ireland moved from #11 to #9.

Prvi #1 hit za Adele / Adele scores her first #1 hit

Britanska pevačica Adele, poznata po hitovima Chasing Pavements i Rolling In The Deep, posle trogodišnje karijere dobila je svoj prvi #1 hit u Velikoj Britaniji. To je drugi single sa njenog novog albuma 21 - Someone Like You. U jednoj od najzanimljivijih borbi na britanskoj listi singlova Adele je izašla kao pobednik sa oko 111 hiljada prodatih digitalnih kopija, a najveće konkurentkinje bile su joj mlada pevačica Jessie J sa pesmom Price Tag (prošlonedeljni #1) i Lady Gaga sa novim singlom Born This Way koji je zadržao prošlonedeljnu treću poziciju. Razlika u prodaji među prva tri mesta bila je samo 1%!

Pesmu Someone Like You Adele je izvela na ovogodišnjoj dodeli BRIT nagrada, nakon čega se pesma popela na vrh iTunes liste, gde se i dalje nalazi. 

Ova godina za Adele počela je više nego uspešno. Njen novi album 21 našao se na prvom mestu u 17 zemalja, a ove nedelje uspela je da uradi ono što je samo Bitlsima pošlo za rukom - da ima dva top 5 albuma i dva top 5 singla u isto vreme na britanskoj listi. Naime, Adele zauzima prvo i četvrto mesto na obe liste. Njen prvi album 19 našao se na četvrtom mestu ove nedelje, dok je na listi singlova to mesto pripalo pesmi Rolling In the Deep.

Album 21 sledeće nedelje će biti objavljen i u Severnoj Americi. Verujem da uspeh neće izostati, s obzirom na to da je pesma Rolling In the Deep i tamo veliki hit.

British singer/songwriter Adele, known for her hits Chasing Pavements and Rolling In the Deep, scored her first #1 hit on the UK Singles Chart after 3 years long career. It's the second single from her new album 21 - Someone Like You. In one of the most interesting chart battle on the UK Singles Chart, Adele won with estimated 111k sold downloads. Her biggest competition were Jessie J with a song Price Tag (#1 last week) and Lady Gaga with her new single Born This Way (kept #3 spot). Sales difference between first 3 spots was only 1%! 

Adele sung Someone Like You at BRIT Awards Ceremony and soon after this song went to the top of iTunes chart and it's still on that position. 

This year begun for Adele more than successfully. Her latest album 21 peaked at #1 in 17 countries and this week Adele manged to do what only The Beatles could - to have two top 5 albums and two top 5 singles in the same time. This week Adele is #1 and #4  on both - singles and albums chart. Her debut album 19 is #4, while that position belongs to Rolling In the Deep on singles chart.

Her new album 21 will be released in North America next week and I believe she'll have the same level of success as Rolling In the Deep is already a big hit there.
