Billboard Music Awards report!

Nakon četiri godine pauze, Billboard Music Awards se vraćaju na velika vrata. Veliki broj trenutno najpopularnijih muzičkih zvezda okupio se sinoć u Las Vegasu kako bi saznali koji su izvođači bili najuspešniji na Billboardovim listama prošle godine. Naravno, mnogi su priredili i spektakularne nastupe. No, jedno po jedno.

Show je otvorila Rihanna koja je pevala S&M. Njoj se na sceni pridružila Britney Spears na oduševljenje njenih fanova koji su nedeljama nagađali hoće li se njihova ljubimica pojaviti. Britney se kasnije pridružila i Nicki Minaj kako bi izvele deo remixa Till the World Ends.

Najviše nagrada odneli su Eminem i Justin Bieber (po 6). Eminem je, između ostalog, osvojio i nagrade za najboljeg izvođača, najboljeg muškog izvođača i najbolji album, dok je Bieber kući otišao sa nagradom fanova i nagradom za najboljeg novog izvođača, između ostalih.

Za njima nisu zaostale ni Rihanna i Taylor Swift. Rihanna je osvojila nagrade za najboljeg radio izvođača, kao i za najboljeg ženskog izvođača, dok je Swiftova proglašena za najboljeg Billboard Top 200 umetnika.

Zvezda večeri svakako je bila Beyonce koja je dobila Billboard Millenium nagradu, kao što smo već objavili, a izvela je i svoj aktuelni single Who Run the World (Girls). Tokom prihvatanja nagrade, njen rad preko video bima hvalili su muzički veterani kao što su Barbara Streisand, Stevie Wonder i Bono, ali i prva dama Amerike Michelle Obama.

U2 su postali dobitnici nagrade za najuspešniju turneju prošle godine 360 koja je nedavno postala i najuspešnija turneja svih vremena.

Kao što smo već rekli, nastupilo je mnogo izvođača koji su, verujemo, zadovoljili sve muzičke ukuse. Pored već pomenutih, nastupile su i zvezde country muzike Lady Antebellum i Keith Urban, zatim i pop zvezde Ke$ha i Tiao Cruz. Svoje pesme izveli su i One Republic, Cee-Lo Green, R&B diva Mary J. Blige nastupila je zajedno sa Lil Waynom, dok je Pitbull pevao svoj aktuelni hit Give Me Everything. Među izvođačima su bili i The Black Eyed Peas koji su izveli medley svojih najvećih hitova.

Sve u svemu, jedno zanimljivo veče, bez većih iznenađenja što se nagrada tiče i sa mnogo lepih i neobičnih nastupa.

After 4-years long break, Billboard Music Awards are back in a big style. Many music stars gathered last night in Las Vegas to find out which acts were the most successful last year in Billboard charts. Some of them also gave extraordinary performances. So, one by one.

Rihanna opened the show with S&M. Britney Spears joined her on stage, which made Spears' fans happy after many weeks of rummors about whether Britney will perform. She even later returned to perform part of Till the World Ends remix with Nicki Minaj.

Eminem and Justin Bieber were the biggest winners of the night (each won 6 awards). Eminem, among others, won Top Artist, Top Male Artist and Best Album awards, while Biber took home Fan Favorite and Top New Artist Awards, among others.

Rihanna and Taylor Swift were not much behind. Rihanna was named for Top Radio Artist and Top Female Artist, while Swift got Billboard Top 200 Artist of the Year award.

Beyonce was certainly the star of the night. She was honored with Billboard Millenium Award, as we previously reported and she also performed her latest single Who Run the World (Girls). During accaptance, Beyoncé was honored by musical veterans like Barbra Streisand, Bono and Stevie Wonder, as well as First Lady Michelle Obama, in a video montage.   

U2 won an award for the most successful tour last year 360 which eventually became the most successful tour of all time.
As we already said before, there were many performers and we beleive everyone found something for themselves. Beside mentioned, there were country stars Lady Antebellum and Keith Urban, pop breakouts Ke$ha i Tiao Cruz. Among performers were also One Republic and Cee-Lo Green. R&B diva Mary J. Blige dueted with Lil Wayne, while Pitbull performed his latest hit Give Me Everything. The Black Eyed Peas also performed singing medly of their greatest hits.
To sum up, it was one interesting music night, without big surprises among awarded followed by nice and unusuall performances.

The Black Eyed Peas otvaraju muzičku akademiju u New Yorku / The Black Eyed Peas to launch music academy in New York

Grupa The Black Eyed Peas uskoro će otvoriti školu gde će tinejdžeri moži da nauče audio i video produkciju koristeći profesionalnu opremu.

Bend je objavio da je škola nastala kao rezultat saradnje dobrotvorne hip-hop organizacije The Peapod i Adobe fondacije. Ove dve organizacije već imaju tri akademije za školovanje glasa u Kaliforniji.

Nova akademija, koja će biti locirana na Manhattanu, počeće sa radom u julu, a časovi su predviđeni za učenike od 13 do 19 godina. 

Član benda will.i.am kaže da su mnogi velikodušni ljudi i njima pomogli u karijeri i da je sada na njih red da pomognu nekome da ostvari svoje snove.

Učenici će biti birani na osnovu preporuke nastavnika i pokazanog interesovanja.

The Black Eyed Peas are opening a school where teenagers will learn about audio and video production using professional equipment.

The band announced that school will be opened by joined forces of charitable hip-hop organization The Peapod and Adobe fondation. These two organizations already run three Youth Voices academies in California.

The new academy will be opened in July, located in Manhattan, and will offer classes to students aged 13 to 19. 

The band member will.i.am says that many generous people helped them through the career and now it's time for them to help someone fulfilling their dreams.

Students will be accepted into academy based on recomendations from their teachers and demonstrated interests in subject area.

Britanske top liste: Dupli #1 za Adele... ponovo! / UK Charts: Adele scores double #1... again

Adele i dalje vlada britanskim top-listama. Album 21 nalazi se na vrhu devetu nedelju zaredom što se nije dogodilo još od 1991. godine kada je isti rezultat ostvarila Madonnina kompilacija The Immaculate Collection. 21 je prošle nedelje prodat u više od 156 hiljada primeraka. Prvi album ove pevačice 19 i dalje se drži na drugom mestu i prošle nedelje je prodat u 47159 primeraka.

Među top 10 najprodavanijih albuma ove nedelje su četiri noviteta. Novi album grupe Strokes "Angels" debitovao je na trećem mestu sa 35643 prodatih primeraka. Njihova prva dva albuma stigla su do drugog albuma, dok je prethodni First Impressions of Earth njihov prvi i jedini #1 album u Velikoj Britaniji.

Album nastao kao rezultat saradnje Ronana Keatinga i Burta Bucharcha "When Ronan Met Burt" stigao je do petog mesta.

Iako je Nicole Scherzinger prošle nedelje bila #1 na listi singlova, to nije mnogo pomoglo njenom prvom solo albumu  Killer Love koji je završio na osmom mestu.

Novi album Chrisa Browna "F.A.M.E." debitovao je na desetom mestu što je napredak u odnosu na prethodni album Graffiti koji je dostigao tek 55. mesto.

Što se liste singlova tiče, Adele se nakon jednonedeljne pauze vratila na prvo mesto sa Someone Like You. Ovaj single je prošle nedelje prodat u 82357 kopija. Jedini top 10 novitet ove nedelje je novi single grupe The Black Eyed Peas "Just Can't Get Enough" koji je skočio sa 15. na treće mesto - 43451 prodat primerak.

Adele is still a queen of UK charts. Her album 21 is #1 for the nineth week in a row which equaled to Madonna's result from 1991 with The Immaculate Collection. 21 was sold in more than 156k copies last week. Debut album by Adele "19" still holds #2 spot with 47519 copies sold last week.

There are four new entries among top 10 best-selling albums this week. A new album by Strokes "Angels" debuted at #3 with 35643 copies sold. Their first two albums peaked at #2, while their last album  First Impressions of Earth remains their only #1 in the UK. 

An album than consists of collaboration between Ronan Keating and Burt Bucharch "When Ronan Met Burt" reached #5.

Although her single was #1 last week, it didn't help Nicole Scherzinger's debut album Killer Love much which debuted at #8.

A new album by Chris Brown "F.A.M.E." debuted at #10 which is an improvement compared to his previous effort Graffiti which reached only #55.

As for the singles chart, Adele regained her top spot with Someone Like You. This single was sold in 82357 copies last week. The only new entry within top 10 is a new single by The Black Eyed Peas "Just Can't Get Enough" which jumped from #15 to #3 (43451).

Billboard Hot 100: Lady Gaga šestu nedelju na vrhu / Lady Gaga for the sixth week on the top

Hit Lady Gage "Born This Way" je šestu nedelju zaredom najpopularnija pesma u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama. Ova pesma bila je najslušanija na radio-stanicama prošle nedelje, dok je po prodaji zauzela četvrto mesto sa 182 hiljade prodatih primeraka. 

Pesma Loser Like Me iz serije Glee prodata je u 210 hiljada primeraka prošle nedelje, što joj je omogućilo drugo mesto na listi najprodavanijih pesama, ali šesto mesto na Hot 100 listi zbog nedostatka radio podrške.

Novi single grupe The Black Eyed Peas "Just Can't Get Enough" dospeo je na peto mesto zahvaljujući nastupu u American Idolu. Nakon sedam nedelja na Hot 100 listi, novi single Chrisa Browna "Look at Me Now" našao se među top 10 najpopularnijih - osmo mesto ove nedelje. Do top 10 stigao je i Jeremih sa pesmom Down On Me, nakon 19 nedelja na listi.

Lady Gaga's hit Born This Way has been the most popular song in the United States for the sixth week in a row. This song topped Radio Songs chart and was sold in 182k copies last week - #4 on Hot Digital Songs this week.

A song Loser Like Me from Glee TV Show was sold in 210k copies last week which was enough for #2 on Hot Digital Songs, but reached #6 on Hot 100 because of a lack of radio support.

Thanks to the performance at American Idol,  The Black Eyed Peas took #5 this week with a new single "Just Can't Get Enough". After seven weeks inside top 100, new Chris Brown's single "Look at Me Now" managed to reach top 10 position - #8 this week. After 19 weeks on chart Jeremih finally managed to reach top 10 with Down On Me.

Cheryl Cole sprema album za američko tržište / Cheryl Cole makes an album for American market

Popularna pevačica Cheryl Cole uskoro će početi da radi na reizdanju svog aktuelnog albuma Messy Little Raindrops namenjen, pre svega, američkoj publici. Izvršni producent će, kao i do sada, biti will.i.am iz grupe The Black Eyed Peas. Njena izdavačka kuća Universal želi da "začini" nekoliko pesama i doda nove pre objavljivanja albuma u Americi na leto. Kao mogućnost pominje se i duet sa  The Black Eyed Peas, što pevačici daje veće šanse za uspeh "preko okeana".

A popular singer Cheryl Cole will start to work soon on a re-release of her latest album Messy Little Raindrops to make it more "US-friendly". An executive producer, like on her previous records, will be will.i.am from  The Black Eyed Peas. Her label Universal wants to spice up few songs and add new ones before the album release in the USA in the summer. A possible collaboration with The Black Eyed Peas is also mentioned, which gives more chances to the UK singer for success overseas.
