Katy Perry godinu dana na američkoj listi singlova / Katy Perry spends an year in the US singles chart

Katy Perry has broken a chart record from the early nineties, because her songs have spent more than an year on Billboard Hot 100 chart. Starting from California Gurls, then Teenage Dream and Firework to the most recent hit E.T. (#2 at the moment), the singer has spent 52 consecutive weeks in this chart (and apparantly there will be more) and she broke a record of Ace of Base who spent 48 weks back in 1993/1994.

It's interesting that all mentioned songs reached #1. Katy has released another single from Teenage Dream recently Last Friday Night so let's wait and see if this song will be equaly successful as previous singles and keep her longer in the chart.

Hit Lady Gage "Born This Way" je šestu nedelju zaredom najpopularnija pesma u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama.

Novi single grupe The Black Eyed Peas "Just Can't Get Enough" dospeo je na peto mesto zahvaljujući nastupu u American Idolu. Billboard Hot 100: Povratak J. Lo / The return of J. Lo

The biggest gainer on this week chart of the most popular songs in the USA is the new single by Jennifer Lopez  (featuring Pitbull) On the Floor which debuted at #9. The song was sold in 170k digital copies which was enough for #3 on Hot Digital Songs chart and it's within top 40 on airplay chart. This is the first top 10 hit for J. Lo on Billboard Hot 100 since four-week #1 All I Have (featuring LL Cool J) in 2003. This is also her best chart position in a debut week. On the Floor is the first single from an upcoming album Love? due to April 19 and not March 29 as previously announced, so the chart clash with a new Britney Spears album will be avoided.

Lady Gaga with Born This Way still holds #1. The song was sold in 288k copies last week and it's the 4th most popular song on the radio. Here's the rest of the top 10 (numer in brackets is the last week position).

1. (1) Lady Gaga - Born This Way
2. (2) Cee Lo Green - F**k You (Forget You)
3. (3) Bruno Mars - Grenade
4. (6) Pink - F**kin' Perfect
5. (7) Rihanna - S&M - new peak
6. (5) Katy Perry - Firework
7. (9) Enrique Iglesias Featuring Ludacris & DJ Frank E - Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)
8. (8) Katy Perry Featuring Kanye West - E.T.
9. (NEW) Jennifer Lopez Featuring Pitbull - On the Floor

Lady Gaga i dalje prva na Billboard Hot 100 listi / Lady Gaga keeps #1 spot on Billboard Hot 100

Thanks to Grammy performance, sales of Cee Lo Green's song Fuck You (Forget You) increased 178% (412k), which was enough for #2.

Bruno Mars' hit Grenade kept #3 spot. Grammy performance brought Dr. Dre back to top 5 with a song I Need a Doctor (featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey) - #4 this week. Katy Perry instead of her current single, performed Teenage Dream at Grammys, so Firework fell from #2 to #5.
