Duffy napušta muziku? / Duffy leaves music industry?

Britanska pevačica Duffy, koja je svetsku slavu stekla hitom Mercy i albumom Rockferry, razmišlja o povlačenju iz sveta muzika, piše britanski tabloid Daily Mirror. Glasine o ovome kruže već neko vreme, a kao glavni razlog navodi se komercijalni neuspeh njenog poslednjeg studijskog albuma Endlessly. Pevačica trenutno nema menadžera, niti se trudi da nađe nekog ko bi se brinuo o njenoj karijeri i, kako ovaj tabloid tvrdi, u depresiji je zbog loše prodaje. U prilog ovome govori i to što Duffy mesecima nigde nije nastupala, a prodaji albuma nisu pomogla ni pojavljivanja u popularnim talent show programima širom sveta.

Njen prvi album Rockferry prodat je u preko šest miliona primeraka i bio je broj #1 na top-listima širom sveta, dok je Endlessly prodat u oko 400 hiljada primeraka bez većih uspeha na top-listima.

Ipak, u martu bi trebalo da bude objavljen drugi single sa albuma My Boy koji će joj možda doneti više sreće.

British singer/songwrier Duff,y who rose to fame with a hit single Mercy and multi platinum album Rockferry, thinks about leaving the music industry, british tabloid Daily Mirror  reported. Rummors about this have been ogoing for some time and as the main reason is mentioned a comercial flop of her latest album Endlessly. The singer doesn't have a manager at the moment, neither she tries to find someone who would take care of her career. According to Mirror, Duffy is depressed because of bad sales. Duffy hasn't performed anywhere for months and her performances in popular talent shows in Euorope and USA didn't help album sales.

Her debut album Rockferry was sold in more than 6 million copies and went #1 in many countries, while Endlessly sold around 400k copies world wide without big success on charts.

Still, new single from Endlessly - My Boy will be released in March which maybe brings more luck to her.
